CMC Enterprise - About Us

Investment in communities

Changing Minds Enterprise was established in 2008 as a Community Interest Company.

For those that are unsure - Community Interest Companies (CIC) are limited companies, with special additional features, created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage.

This is achieved by a "community interest test" and "asset lock", which ensure that the CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits are dedicated to these purposes.

In the case of Changing Minds Enterprise (CIC) our primary purpose or social objective is to carry out activities which support people at risk of developing mental health distress, the recovery of those experiencing mental distress and people who are in recovery.

As the scope of our work develops, it is anticipated that our training services and innovative E-Learning Portal will gradually become the primary source of funding for our organisation.

This means every time someone buys an E-Learning Course online or commissions us to deliver training the bulk of the money that Changing Minds Enterprise (CIC)  makes,  will go toward making a difference in our community!

This continual re-investment will give us the freedom and autonomy to develop and shape our workforce, services and projects to ensure we support and deliver much needed activities and services that make a real difference to peoples lives and well-being.
